You may have first known Indian actress, Sindhu Tolani, as the model girl for Fair & Lovely cream in the North before she made it big in Telugu cinema. She walked into the movie industry onboard the low-budget Telugu movie “Aithe” and made headlines despite the fact that the film did not do well. Her first major movie came later in another Telugu movie “Athanokkade”.
This beautiful actress is 5’3” tall, with light brown eyes and an amazing body. She has a degree in Sociology and loves to dance, sing and go horseback riding. She was born and raised in Mumbai.
Her career in the Tamil movie industry took off in 2004 when she starred in the Tamil film “Sullan”, a major film co-starred by Dhanush and directed by Ramana. She was then only 20 years old. The movie became a major blockbuster and officially launched the actress’s promising acting career.

Her next film, “Manmadhan”, was again a major hit, thus solidifying her place in the Indian movie industry. People loved her, and very quickly she made more major appearances in a number of movies. In all, the sexy Sindhu Tolani has 30 films to her credit. Most of her movies are in Telugu language and a few of them are “Gowtam SSC” in 2005, “Sarada Saradaga” in 2006, “Phote Poni” also in 2006, “Vishakha Express” in 2008, “Kick” in 2009 and “Baava” in 2010. “Baava” bombed in the box office, but Sindhu’s fans still loved her performance.

Sindhu performed in only 10 Tamil films. Some of these movies include “Majaa”, in which she was featured only as a special appearance. The film is a dramatic movie about a family and a young couple who struggled in keeping their relationship aflame.
Her last Tamil movie was filmed in 2008, but it didn’t do well with critics and moviegoers. The title was “Pandhayam”, an action-packed melodramatic movie. Sindhu’s character was the love interest of a criminal and murderer that has turned on a new leaf and had become a minister.
This alluring actress with a body to die for didn’t make many Hindi movies. She was part of the Hindi film “50 Lakh” in 2007, which again bombed in the box office. The movie focused on the exploits of five friends and tackled important issues in poverty and society, but critics were quick to point out several plot and cinematic flaws.
Sindhu also starred in a stage show called “Netru, Indru, Naalai” by Mani Ratnam. Although she has not won any acting awards and has not figured in many blockbuster movies, she remains a well loved actress especially by her loyal fans. Her sweet face and spicy image help in keeping it that way.
Sindhu Tolani loves being an actress. She said, “I wanted to act in films since childhood. I am happy with all the films I am working on (and)… do not have any problems that these (movies) are not big.”
